= FAQ = What is PDFCube?:: PDFCube is a quick hack I wrote to present my master thesis and quickly become a popular Linux application. Why PDFCube?:: The main reason for PDFCube is that, as an engineer, I wanted to present my master thesis with my own software (I always liked reinventing my own wheel). The reason it's here is because you may want to have some eye-candy too. Why does PDFCube only displays the top of my PDF pages?:: PDFCube is a presentation viewer, you should use it on landscape presentations and not on regular portrait documents. Why does my screen flickers?:: You have perhaps some other 3D application running: not all video drivers support more than one OpenGL application without glitches. Does PDFCube works on Microsoft(tm) OSes?:: Afaik, no, it does not, but I have no Windows PC at home nor at work so I can't try it. If you have luck compiling and running it on Windows please send me some feedback. Why PDFCube when we have Keyjnote?:: When I starded PDFCube I was unaware of Keyjnote and when I discovered it, it was too young and lacked a good "cube" effect. Also PDFCube has less dependencies and is written in C++ for maximum speed and minimum size (the executable is really tiny, less than 100KiB). PDFCube should run efficiently even on slow netbooks like the eeepc. Where is the subversion repo?:: http://code.100allora.it/svn/pdfcube or just http://code.100allora.it/svn/pdfcube/trunk
